Today my course, Life Not Wasted, is open to the general public. It is designed to help you break free from the grip of contemporary addiction and cultivate a life so joyous, you won’t need an escape or distraction.
Here is the course website, which has all the information you need about it. You can even take a sample video lesson there to get a sense of whether you’ll vibe with my teaching style.
I’ve been working on this baby non-stop for the past six months. It distills a decade of insights as both a person in recovery and an innovator in the field, applying my unique perspective on what I call “Modern Addiction” and its “Awakened Recovery.”
As I’ve consistently highlighted in my writing, addiction is best understood as a spectrum rather than a binary, yes-or-no condition. In our contemporary culture, which is rife with high-voltage temptations, virtually everyone today falls somewhere along this continuum.
This course is designed with great care for those with mild-to-moderate dependencies, especially working professionals. If you’re looking to transform your relationship with substances like alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and Adderall, or behaviors such as binge eating, technology use, social media engagement, and work habits, this course will empower you to create lasting change.
It will equip you with a set of practical, no-cost modalities, tools, and practices—including many overlooked in traditional treatment.
By addressing the holistic spectrum of body, heart, mind, and soul, you’ll learn the science of habit change, recognize the intelligence behind your dependencies, and learn to somatically access your body’s innate wisdom.
You’ll also acquire techniques to harmonize your cravings and emotions, explore an accessible yet transformative approach to meditation, and tap into the deeper spiritual dimension of existence.
The course’s Beta testing sold out over the weekend when I announced it, largely due to the support of many of you readers, which gave me an immense boost in motivation (thank you!).
Here’s what one of the testers, a machine learning engineer from Argentina, has to say about the course:
“For more than a decade, I’ve been a heavy daily cannabis user, and for nearly as long, I’ve felt that my relationship with it hasn’t been healthy. Even though I’ve sincerely wanted to quit for years, it wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago, after starting LNW, that I managed to take the first real, solid, consequential steps towards it.
Sometimes, what you need isn’t a grandiose intervention but a firm yet gentle nudge. For me, Alex’s LNW course and the community he’s cultivating around it provided just that.”
The curriculum includes video lessons, written text, exercises, meditations, visualizations, and “invitations” designed to help you make immediate changes in your life.
But what’s cool is that this is not just a course, but a community. And this is the element that I’m most excited about.
In the LNW community forum, we challenge ourselves to reduce our screen time and break free from the endless dopamine loop while sharing our progress and experiences along the way—because everyone can benefit from practicing harm reduction around screen usage.
If my time running the Deep Fix community during the pandemic is any indication, this has the potential to become one of the healthiest corners of the internet.

Outside of my non-profit work with Natura Care Programs, I can say with confidence that this is the most substantial and impactful thing I’ve ever created.
What I am most proud of is that this curriculum is an organic byproduct of my own knowledge and experience. It draws upon multiple modalities and traditions that have been the bedrock of my personal recovery journey along with my work with individuals and groups. These modalities are deeply ingrained into my daily life, and the support they’ve provided me is indispensable.
I truly hope this course helps any and all break free from the talons of modern addiction so as to build uninterrupted lives of joy, peace, and vitality.
Please share this with any loved ones in need, and holler at me with any questions. Though if my response is slightly delayed, it’s because I have accomplished my goal of shipping this project just in time before my first child enters this world—not a bad excuse, right? :)
This is beautiful to see, Alex!
I love the focus on mild-to-moderate modern addictions, which all of us have.
I also appreciate you walking the spectrum from soul-level perspectives to tactical interventions.
Thank you for your wonderful work.
This is so awesome and so needed 🙌🏼 moving the needle for real
