At first, I was rudely taken aback by the title, but once I got past that and read the article, this was fantastic! β donβt judge an article by its titleβ π€ͺ
Loved this essay! (I bet you enjoyed Duncanβs Netflix series?). I appreciate your positive metaphor of climax (who doesnβt enjoy an orgasm?!) - quite the contrast from the end of the world, which seems quite anti-climactic...
I loved Midnight Gospel but tbh I need to watch more of them. I'm an enormous fan of his podcast, at least a few years ago I used to listen to them weekly. He has the cosmic giggle for sure
I loved this. Honestly for the last... I donβt even know how many years, since it feels like weβve collectively dived head first into the maddening swirly - when I start to feel my chest get tight with all the outside forces I step back and assess my life and think βwhat has actually changed for me and my family.β And 97% of the time - absolutely nothing has changed. Maybe I find some comfort that someone is still pissin on the toilet seat.
Yeppirs, same here. The more things catastrophize out there, the more I seem to stay the same, in fact things have improved for me over the last two or three years, but I donβt publicize it.
Totally. Never want to rub salt in the wound for people who have been struggling, but the last couple years things have been better for me as well, I think I thrive in the weird
Well written interesting read. I too was put off by the title and did not read til today. So glad I did. Not my words, but reminds me, βEven A wounded world π is feeding us.β
Boom! π
You cannot avoid the human condition. God grant me the serenity π
serenity, please lord, please
Best title ever
