At first, I was rudely taken aback by the title, but once I got past that and read the article, this was fantastic! β€œ don’t judge an article by its title” πŸ€ͺ

Loved this essay! (I bet you enjoyed Duncan’s Netflix series?). I appreciate your positive metaphor of climax (who doesn’t enjoy an orgasm?!) - quite the contrast from the end of the world, which seems quite anti-climactic...

I loved Midnight Gospel but tbh I need to watch more of them. I'm an enormous fan of his podcast, at least a few years ago I used to listen to them weekly. He has the cosmic giggle for sure

I loved this. Honestly for the last... I don’t even know how many years, since it feels like we’ve collectively dived head first into the maddening swirly - when I start to feel my chest get tight with all the outside forces I step back and assess my life and think β€œwhat has actually changed for me and my family.” And 97% of the time - absolutely nothing has changed. Maybe I find some comfort that someone is still pissin on the toilet seat.

Yeppirs, same here. The more things catastrophize out there, the more I seem to stay the same, in fact things have improved for me over the last two or three years, but I don’t publicize it.

Totally. Never want to rub salt in the wound for people who have been struggling, but the last couple years things have been better for me as well, I think I thrive in the weird

Alex,

Well written interesting read. I too was put off by the title and did not read til today. So glad I did. Not my words, but reminds me, β€œEven A wounded world 🌎 is feeding us.”
