Finally listened to this and loved it. Holly's explanation of metamodernism was the best I've heard yet. I too have noticed way too much of a masculine/rational/heady voice in these discussions, so Holly (and you for that matter) felt so refreshingly different. I did recently finish Cynthia Bourgeault's Eye of the Heart, which I was hoping would be more of a heart and feminine focused exploration of some of these same themes, but it didn't really hit that mark for me. We need Holly's next book!
You both are excellent in conversation together - great questions, but also not just taking each other's thoughts without interogating them too. I'm going to need parts 2-5 pronto please :)
I’m stoked your first post-pilot episode is out and looking forward to listening. It’ll be a nice break between all the socialising. Great guest too! Holly’s book was one of the last few (of many) things that contributed to me finally quitting. I just paused to read my Kindle highlights and, no surprise, there’s wisdom in there that I still need to hear.
This sounds fantastic. Now I just need to find an hour. Ooh—when wrapping gifts. But then I'll stop wrapping and just intently listen, as I should. Hmm

If you all haven't listened to Tyson Yunkaporta recently on For the Wild (https://forthewild.world/listen/tyson-yunkaporta-on-inviolable-lore-362), I think it goes really well with this conversation, especially around the limits of post-modernism.

Sara! This is so encouraging to hear. I love Tyson but have not listened to the ep you linked, looks fascinating. Thank you so much for this

Tons of good psycho-education in that book. And thanks so much Haydn, hope you enjoy
Enjoyed listening to your thoughtful conversation. Are you familiar with the organization Service Space ? Nipun Mehta ?
Your conversation reminds me of their work.
I am not familiar!

My fav is during long drives, have trouble listening when doing chores in the house, but that's just me! And thanks, Corey!
the name reminds me of the "dictation" from Summer Heights High by Chris Lilley :)
